The monster inside her weakens her
Takes away the happiness of life,
And her genuine smile,
Replacing it with a fictitious, fake mask,
Worn only in front of family and friends.

It wears her down, from the inside out,
A demon inside taking control of her body,
Banishing her out,
Making her feel as if she is a spectator in her own body…

She is devoid of all content emotions:
Happiness, joy, excitement.
Yet the ruthless emotions stay,
As if feeding the creature within each passing day:
Heartbreak, pain, anger, fear…

Walking in a vast expanse of darkness,
All she can do is search,
Day and night,
For that small light ful

Heart Break

You sit there,
Crying a waterfall of tears,
Soaking the pillow under your head,
Wishing for the pain to end…

The world seems as if it's crashing down on you,
All your focus is on making the regret, the heartbreak, the betrayal,
Leave your soul through your tears…
I've been there.

Your heart feels abused and torn,
Ripped out of your body,
Leaving you gasping for breath,
Because he once was your life line, your reason to live.

Your love was toyed with by the boy you thought you knew,
Who you thought was the one,
Yet your heart was broken into pieces in the blink of an eye…

Love at First Sight

One glance,
The smallest look in your direction,
And I knew you were the one.

The way my heart stopped when my eyes met yours,
How I speechlessly gazed at you,
When I couldn't even blink an eye,
In fear of you disappearing
In that one second,
Becoming a figment of my imagination.

The sparks between us flew instantly,
And I knew it all pointed to love.
I was a victim of Cupid and his toxic arrows.

You were the one,
My angel sent from above,
My prince coming to save me on his steed,
My sould mate who would stand by me everyday,

Night

Darkness covers the once colorful sky
Blanketing the world with peace and serenity.
The night,
Oh-so-beautiful and mesmerizing
In it's own mystical way,
Brings with it the lights of the night,
The beauties of the dark,
Dancing in the darkness
With joy and liveliness.
They bring faith,
They are proof that there is always hope
Even in the darkest of situations.

The most picturesque moment...
For once,
I am left in my own little corner of the world,
Not having to act in front of others,
Not having to worry about other people and how THEY feel,
Not having to attempt to keep everyone else happy,

To miss those calls at night
That went on for hours on end?
To miss staying up until 1 AM
Not wanting to end our conversation?
To miss reminiscing over past memories together
Of the great times we had?
To miss feeling that I could trust you
With absolutely any secret of who I am?
To miss hurting whenever you were in pain
As if attached by our emotions?

Is it wrong
To yearn for those fights between us
About which of us loved the other more?
To yearn for those dates that were always filled with joy,
Laughter, wanting time to freeze at that moment?
To yearn for the way that, in each of our conversations,

Turned Against

The wind blows my hair back,
The gusts so intriguing, so welcoming,
Bustling me to the edge,
Secretly persuading me to take that small, simple step.

The waves below crash,
A deafening sound,
Heard from miles around,
Easily hypnotizing me,
The lonely ocean
Hoping I will join it soon.

The cliff beneath my feet bends,
Taunts me, terrifies me,
Tantalizes me to take one step closer
To meet my painkiller,
To meet my escape,
To meet my death.

My tears blind me,
Making everything around me a blur,
Falling oh-so-silently down my cheeks,
Flowing uncontrollably,
Meeting the salty sea underneath me.

My heart chips, cracks,

That girl over there,
Who is spoken about behind her back
About her flashy clothes,
Her ego as large as the universe.
Yet no one knows this is her only way of becoming that perfect person
She's always dreamt of being.

That boy, who fools around while playing sports,
Falling, tripping, knocking into other people on purpose,
Just to get a laugh out of the class.
Yet no one knows that he is ignored at home,
And being the class clown is his only way of receiving attention.

That girl, with dyed hair the color of blood,
And too many bracelets to count on her arms,
With a mask of a smile always on her face.
Yet no one knows of the sca

Thunderstorm

Clouds high in the sky,
Impending above her head.
It's gray pigment releasing the darkest feeling,
A mood of confusion,
Of being incomplete,
Of feeling lost,
Of the ultimate pain and sadness.
The clouds reflect in the girl's eyes…

She stares at the clouds,
The aching overflowing in her,
Submerging her once innocent heart.
She can't help but wonder "Why me?
How could I have ever,
Ever,
Deserved this pain?"

Droplets falling,
Staining the world drip by drip,
As the clouds release tears
Filled with despair,
Anguish,
Discomfort.
The rain only patters on the girl's window…

Tears stream down her face,
As she wishes

Expectations

So misunderstood
a shield covers
all that could be

Covered by
those expectations
that kill your loving
sensitive side

All you see is an
emotionless person,
but I want to go
past all those
strictures holding
you back from
being you

Why can we not
get past these
first glance judegments
that can kill a person's
real personality
that should be shining
through all these
stupid expectations.

Innocence Crushed

Why must the tears fall,
Flowing down her cheeks,
Streaming down the the face of an angel,
Filled with despair and anguish.

She lays on the dirt floor,
Once so innocent, so pure,
A bird among the clouds,
Oblivious to the unknown world surrounding her.

Always laughing, smiling,
Her beauty dazzling.
She dances through life
Without a care in the world.

Where is that girl now?
He wonders as his eyes gaze upon her,
And her hair that has lost it's glow,
And her dress, tattered and in ruins.

Her fragile body shakes uncontrollably
With each of her cries of anguish.
Ever sob stabs his heart painfully,
Giving him just a slight taste

Do You Remember, Love?

Do you remember, love?
How you would tempt me,
So expertly, so slyly,
Blinding me with desperation,
Or was it loneliness?
Oh, how naive I was,
How young and gullible,
Yet you twisted me and toyed with me,
As if I was your puppet on a string.

Do you remember, love?
How I fell for it,
I fell for your promises of happiness,
And your lies about my "happy ever after" with my prince.
It was pure bliss,
I was flying above the clouds with love,
Yet the love was so short lived.

When your devious plot truly succeeded,
How you kicked me to the curb
With nothing but a chipped heart
And a flickering soul....

Am I Falling in Love Again

Is it this a curse or a blessing?
Should I cower from it or embrace it?
Is the joy, the pure bliss,
Really worth the trouble, the worry of being hurt?
The question lingers over my head day after day:
Will I get hurt again?

The love is there,
So tempting, so disarming,
The deepest part of my heart wants to reach out to it,
To relieve myself of this burden on my shoulders,
Because I know it will go away
Once I invite love into my heart.

Deep down,
I remember the feeling of love,
How I would be soaring above the clouds at every touch,

Why do I wish you were right next to me?
Soothing me and my unsettling sorrow,
Saving me and my soul that has disintegrated into almost nothing,

And your hair glimmering like gold in the sunlight.

From all the tears.
Heart torn
Because of such unbearable pain.
Soul diminished
In all the emotion being forced upon you.
Mind confused
As of what to do next.
Faith being questioned
Because you ask yourself,
Why would you be given all this pain?
What have you done to deserve this torture?

The waterfall of tears
Fall ever so gently
Down your cheeks.
Each droplet a portion of the pain
Tearing at your body,
Attempting to take control of your mind.

From all the stress, the worry, the pain...

Days pass on like years

Life feels so dull
Without your mesmerizing eyes and goofy smile,

Without the never- ending joy I have when I see you...

The way you tell me how important I am to you,

It all points to being love struck,

Her hair,
Black as pure darkness,
Glistening in the moonlight,
The wind tossing it in every direction,
Purely whimsical.

Her eyes,
A most dazzling, electric blue,
Twinkling ever so gently,
Like lightning during a calm storm,
The sight so mesmerizing.

Her skin,
With the lightest olive tone,
And her hands,
So dainty, and delicate,
Both as perfect as an angel's.

Her dress,
The most gorgeous gown seen,
Secretly drawing out her look of youth,
Yet showing off her best features,
The lightest colors transforming her into a beautiful fairy of the forest.

The girl,
Envied by others,
But if only they knew...

Her life,
A never ending battle,
A constant, energy- draining fight
As she is tossed into the worst scenarios imagined.

Yet she makes the best of it,
Keeps a smile on her face,
Through the betrayal,
The heartbreak,
The endless pain growing ever so rapidly in her heart.

Her hope,
Dangling on a strand,
Her flickering candle light of happiness
Dwindling, ever so quickly,
Fading into the unknown.

In front of others,
She is the most unique, independent teen,
Yet, in reality,
She's hopelessly confused,
As desperate for a friend than ever before.
